FUTURE SOCIETY DESIGN COMPLEX

Opened in March 2026
as a symbol of the student residence area.

Students, researchers, companies, and local communities
gather under one roof,

to co-create innovation for solving
future social challenges.

SPACE INTRODUCTION

1F

Communication Space

An open space designed for dialogue.

Furniture can be rearranged to use it as a simple hall.

It supports many purposes such as socials, workshops, and music performances.

  • 4-seat tables, sofa seating

Creative Space

A space where you can shape your ideas

using fabrication equipment.

Ideal for personal projects and hands-on workshops.

  • 12.6m × 10.9m
  • Approx. 50 people
  • 3D printer, large-format printer

Event Hall

The largest hall in the building.

It supports a wide range of uses, from lectures and classes to dance and music practice.

Seats can also be stored away.

  • Approx. 300 people
  • Projector, large screen, sound system, retractable seating

Shared Office

Office space for contracted organizations

to use freely.

Four dedicated meeting rooms are also available.

Who Can Use This Facility

Students and staff of the University of Tsukuba

General non-profit groups and individuals

Groups and individuals approved by the steering committee

Unauthorized political, religious, or commercial activities are prohibited.

How to Use

Anyone may enter and use the building, regardless of university affiliation.

Advance booking is required for private use or event operations.

Requests During Use

Keep your valuables with you at all times.

Smoking is prohibited throughout the premises.

Please do not occupy free spaces for extended periods.

Food and drinks are allowed.
Please refrain from bringing strongly scented items.

Any sound usage (audio, instruments, performances) requires prior event application.

Please take your trash home.
Please also cooperate with cleaning up after use.
