Food is not permitted, even light snacks. Only beverages with lids are allowed. (If you are reserving the space exclusively for a planned event, this can be discussed on request.)

Is it possible to start preparing for event before the opening time of FSDC?

Please contact us in advance if you need to do so.

Is parking lot available?

The parking lot behind FSDC is not for general use. You can use the one behind KASUMI (K29 Temporary South Parking Lot). If you need to secure (reserve) a parking lot, please apply to University of Tsukuba Traffic Safety Association.

Holding an event

When reserving a space for an event that involves making sound, should I also reserve the adjacent space to account for sound leaking into it?

You only have to reserve the space you will be using.

What can the parking lot behind FSDC be used for? Can it be used for loading and unloading equipment?

The rear parking lot is not available for general use. If you would like to use it for loading and unloading equipment, please contact us in advance.

I would like to know which equipment is available in which space, and in what quantities.

This information will be published on our website soon. If you need to know right away, please contact us.

If I want to hold an event starting in the morning, is it possible to set up the venue the night before?

Yes, this is possible as long as you also reserve the time needed for setup. However, please note that we cannot take responsibility for any equipment or facilities left unattended overnight.

Are there any items available for loans during events?

Desks and chairs, whiteboards, monitors, projectors, and speakers located within the building can be used. Please apply for it when making the reservation.

Can I bring in my own equipment?

Yes. Please let us know any equipment you plan to bring in when making the reservation.

Can furniture and equipment be moved?

Furniture and equipment in your reserved space may be moved freely. If you need to use items from other spaces, please submit a loan request in advance. After using them, please return everything to its original arrangement.

Reservation

If an event is organized by a member of the university but is also open to non-university participants, does it count as internal (on-campus) or external (off-campus) use?

Please refer to the user guide.

Can student organizations use a space for meetings, etc., without making a reservation?

Yes, this is possible. However, since exclusive use is not allowed without a reservation, please be considerate of other users if the space is already occupied.

Is there a deadline for reservation?

Reservations can only be made until 7 days beforehand. Reservation cannot be made after that, so please make a reservation well in advance.

How far in advance can reservations be made?

Reservations can currently be made up to 365 days in advance. If you would like to reserve further ahead, please contact us.

What should I do if I want to change my reservation?

If it is more than 7 days before the usage date, please cancel the reservation and rebook. If it is within 7 days, please contact us.

How long does it take for a reservation to be confirmed?

The reservation will be confirmed once the details have been verified. If we need to follow up on any details regarding the reservation, we will contact you.

I accidentally issued multiple quotations, is that okay?

That is not a problem.

Is long-term exclusive use of the space possible?

Please contact us for further discussion.
