分布　本州、四国、九州　南限は恐らく屋久島辺り、朝鮮半島にもいるらしい

超普通種だが、成虫をみつけるのは難しい。4月後半から5月に幼虫がよく見られる。桜につくものが最も早く孵化し、カシにつくものはなぜか孵化が遅いように感じる。幼虫の足に縞模様があり触角が短い日本のナナフシは本種だけである。Ramulus属は東南アジアを中心に広く分布し、ジャワ島を訪れた際にもよく見かけた。しかし、どういうわけか本種は南西諸島に分布しない。

Quite abundant species but difficult to find adult. Nymphs are common in mid April to June. I don’t know why but it seems those feed on cherry hatch earlier and those feed on oak hatch later. No phasmid nymph in Japan has striped legs with short antennae. This genus, Ramulus are found mainly in tropical asia, and I found a lot on my trip to Java. However, somehow this species is not found  in Ryukyu islands.
